Our Story
A Company Built On Integrity
Biotics Research has been a leader in the nutrition industry for over 40 years. Known for top-quality supplements and enhanced product delivery systems, the company drives advancement by focusing on research initiatives, unique product formulations and unprecedented quality control.
We combine the lessons that nature teaches with the very best of cutting-edge science in order to develop supplements that are bioavailable, reliable and safe. This is done by passionately searching for holistic interventions and the highest quality raw material ingredients around the world. We often develop our own ingredients using raw, organic materials, including our own biologically active vegetable cultures.
A family-owned company with a rich history, Biotics Research is most proud of their valued partnerships with healthcare professionals.
ISO-Certified Laboratory
Biotics Research Corporation is proud to have received ISO/IEC 17025:2017 (International Organization for Standardization and International Electrotechnical Commission) accreditation from the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) for our analytical laboratories.
A Nutrition Industry Pioneer
Our collaborative research partnerships with organizations such as Boston Children’s Hospital, MD Anderson, Florida Institute of Technology and Bastyr University have led to the development of improved delivery methods, such as a sophisticated emulsification process for enhanced assimilation and utilization of oily nutrients, the introduction of Coenzyme Q10 to the North American healthcare market, the creation of our biologically active vegetable cultures to provide whole food, gluten free, non-yeast sources of important trace minerals and antioxidant enzymes, as well as neonatal glandular tissues in order to produce specific organ-supportive products.
Advancements in Nutrition Technology
Vegetable Culture Matrix
For many dietary supplements, supplement manufacturers must use excipients in the production process. Most are inert, such as forms of cellulose and stearic acid. However, many contain significant levels of sugars such as lactose, and compounds such as polyethylene glycol, artificial food colorants, and even sources of aluminum. These ingredients provide no nutritional value and may be detrimental to health. In many of our products, we utilize a nutritionally potent vegetable culture matrix. Vegetable culture provides a tableting and encapsulation base that contains high concentrations of superoxide dismutase (SOD) and catalase, both powerful antioxidants that add significant value to our products.
Plant Matrix Minerals
At Biotics Research, we feel trace minerals are best recognized and utilized by the body in the context of a whole plant matrix. Utilizing “The Best of Science and Nature,” we grow many of the trace minerals we use in our proprietary plant matrix system. We begin by using organic whole non-soy legumes, germinated in a specially prepared mineral solution. Each plant absorbs the mineral, which is bound to its matrix. Grown under specialized conditions of light, temperature, pH and timing, each plant culture reaches its maximum mineral concentration, while still maintaining its viability. The cultures are then harvested, rinsed and dried at low temperature to maintain the integrity of the plant matrix, including the protein structure and enzyme activity. Each of the Plant Matrix Mineral cultures is then gently milled and finally tested for its specific mineral content, including selenium, chromium, lithium, vanadium, rubidium, molybdenum and germanium. As part of the plant matrix, the minerals now have the ability to be more easily recognized and assimilated by the body.
Glandulars
Glandulars deliver peptides, enzymes, cofactors and nutrients unique to their particular tissue. As a category, they can be used to target specific tissues while also filling a void in the diet due to the absence of organ consumption. Since the early 1980s, Biotics Research has been at the forefront of glandular production, reflecting its commitment to research and innovation. Our glandulars are prepared strictly from BSE-free countries and collected under USDA inspection.
Emulsions
Biotics Research was one of the first companies to launch an emulsified form of vitamin D. Our continued research led to the development of various delivery methods, including a sophisticated emulsification process for enhanced assimilation and utilization of fat-soluble nutrients. In our oil-in-water emulsions, the nutrients are dispersed into microscopic particles using a proprietary method that aids in absorption and assimilation. While some companies use commonly known solvents such as carboxymethyl-cellulose (CMC) or polysorbate 80 to create nano-sized particles with fat-soluble nutrients, we only use what is found in nature and maintain a particle size approximately 0.5 microns, which mimics the oils in nuts and seeds.
